I’m back from vacation and I’m ready to get caught up.
Our trip to Greece was postponed for 2 years because of Covid. Finally, this summer we made it to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. Greece wasn’t quite what I expected, but I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The land itself isn’t pretty in my opinion. Very dry and arid. Some places almost reminded me of West Texas! But the architecture and the views surrounding these islands is spectacular.
In Athens we visited the Acropolis, and this is my pano view of Athens from atop the Acropolis. This city reminded me of Rome in many ways: the graffiti, the architecture, and just the overall feel. Over 6 million people live in Athens. There are no free standing houses, or very few – everyone lives in apartments. This makes me appreciate the United States and living in Texas where I have my own house and space, lots of space.
