Close up

I really do love a photograph when it’s up close and personal. I love the details, the intimacy. This is a Coreopsis from my front yard. I had put out a seed packet of wildflower mix as an experiment last year and surprisingly these came back. I guess I didn’t realize there were some perennials thrown into that seed mix.

My photography has slacked off a little bit since I finished up my two classes. It’s hard for me to be inspired and motivated with what is just outside my own back door you know? I always feel like I need to go somewhere and find something new and exciting, but isn’t there something to finding the beauty in your own backyard? I’m going to try to focus on that more. I hope to find some inspiration. Maybe use it as a time to work on post processing or learn all the cool things my new camera can do. I definitely need to work on that. What about you? Anyone have any interesting personal projects they are working on? I’d love to hear about it!
