I rented a Lensbaby Velvet 56 a couple of weeks ago, and I must say, I’m a fan. I will admit I wasn’t sure what I would think about it because normally I like a crisp image. But that bokeh and dreamy image that is possible with that lens is addictive, and I have found myself wanting more! My practice shots are below, and for me it seems like there is going to be a steep learning curve. It’s manual focus, and it’s tricky getting still enough to capture it. I was too lazy and short on time to get out the tripod and truly work it. But I have plans to buy my own in the near future, and that is when the real magic will begin. Stay tuned.
